1. Overview
Copat Tech LLC (“Copat”, “we”, “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512, this policy describes how to submit a copyright infringement notification (“Takedown Notice”) and how the alleged infringer may file a Counter-Notice.
2. Designated Agent (DMCA Contact)
Copyright owners who believe their work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement on Copat’s Service may submit a Takedown Notice to our Designated Agent:

| Company | Copat Tech LLC |
| [email protected] |
This information is also registered with the United States Copyright Office Designated Agent Directory at https://www.copyright.gov/dmca-directory/.
3. Submitting a Takedown Notice
To file a valid Takedown Notice, send a written communication to our Designated Agent that includes ALL of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including information reasonably sufficient to permit Copat to locate the material (a direct link, description of the call recording, account ID or username, and date the material was uploaded or transmitted).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit Copat to contact you as the complaining party, including your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Submit your notice to [email protected] with subject line “DMCA Takedown Notice — [your name or organization]”.
4. Copat’s Response to a Valid Takedown Notice
Upon receipt of a properly formatted Takedown Notice that includes all required elements (Section 3 above), Copat will:
- Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Take reasonable steps to notify the user who provided the material
- Provide the user with a copy of the Takedown Notice and information on submitting a Counter-Notice
If a Takedown Notice does not include all required elements, we may request additional information before taking action.
5. Submitting a Counter-Notice
If you believe that material you posted to Copat was removed or disabled in error as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notice. To be valid, a Counter-Notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or any judicial district in which Copat may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party that submitted the Takedown Notice or that party’s agent.
Submit your Counter-Notice to [email protected] with subject line “DMCA Counter-Notice — [your name or organization]”.
6. Copat’s Response to a Valid Counter-Notice
Upon receipt of a properly formatted Counter-Notice, Copat will:
- Send a copy of the Counter-Notice to the party that submitted the original Takedown Notice
- Inform that party that we may replace the removed material or cease disabling access to it within 10 to 14 business days
- Replace the material or cease disabling access in 10–14 business days, unless the original complaining party files an action seeking a court order against the user
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
Copat reserves the right to suspend or terminate, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We track DMCA notices received in connection with each account.
For the purposes of this policy, a “repeat infringer” is generally any user against whom we have received three (3) or more substantiated copyright infringement complaints within a rolling 12-month period. We may, at our discretion, terminate accounts before reaching this threshold for particularly egregious or willful infringement.
8. False Claims
The DMCA imposes significant liability for false Takedown Notices and Counter-Notices. Under Section 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including legal costs and attorneys’ fees. Please consult a lawyer before submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notice if you are uncertain whether the content in question infringes your copyright (or whether your use was lawful).
9. Material Types Covered

- Transcripts generated by Copat from call audio
